Postpartum compression wraps.....anyone use them

Hi i am looking at numerous postpartum compression wraps and have narrowed it down to wink, bellefit or the cinch tummy wrap. Has anyone used anything like these before or can recommend a good one. Thank you. Also are they just a waste of money........

  • I heard good things about the Belly Bandit and just placed my order for one yesterday.  I used a cheap one (bought from BRU) after DS1 was born and thought it worked ok.  I didn't use one at all after DS2 was born and noticed it took longer for my belly to shrink down that time.  Given this is baby 3, figure I'd shell out a little more $$ for a better one and increase my odds of getting back to regular tummy size faster.  We'll see!

  • I got a $20 one off Amazon.com and it helped a ton.  It rolls and bunches up, so next time I might get a more expensive one.  The surprising thing to me was that my stomach muscles were so weak after delivery and wearing the wrap made it easier to move around and sit up.
  • Hi - I used the Bellefit compression garment, and I loved it. I had a 10lb, 3 oz baby (my third) in February, and I was back in my pre-pregnancy clothes in less than 2 months.  It was more expensive, but I think you kind of get what you pay for with these things.  It was tiiiiiight - but not uncomfortable.  I wrote a blog post about it -- feel free to read it if you have time.

The other cool thing about this one is that you put it on in the morning, and you leave it on all day.  Once it's on, there's virtually no readjusting until you take it off at night.  That was great for me since I was chasing our 20 month old and 5 year old.

    Good luck!
