minivan doors....DS got his hand caught

So I love my minivan for many reasons, but mainly the auto doors. Well the other day, I got DD out of her carseat after opening both auto doors. I unbuckled DS and then told him to climb out his side (I was walking by there anyway and would grab his hand). Well I guess he didnt hear me and went to DD's side after I hit the door close button. I get to his side with the door open and look in and he's freaking out. I couldnt figure out what happen since I never thought the door could close on him since it opens if you have something in the way. well I guess his little hand was too small, and he stuck it in the crack as it was closing to open it and it got caught.  poor thing!

I ran around and opened it and it was scary for him, but his hand was fine. He has no injuries and was fine within 10 minutes, but it made me think twice about those doors!

I LOVE my minivan for all the features, I just think this was something I should share to make sure people realize that even though the doors stop from closing when it hits an adults hand or body, it won't with a little one.  Maybe I was naive thinking that way, but I will be more careful now!
