We have a bunch of girl names we like, but are having a really tough time with boy names for some reason. I'm hoping you ladies might have some suggestions of names we haven't thought of.
We like uncommon names, and many of the names we like tend to sound like last names. Here are some examples of names that we like but decided against for various reasons, just to give you an idea of our style: Sawyer, Archer, Hudson Cashen, Marsden, and Keats. Some of those are too popular for our taste, even though we like the sound of them, and others just don't work with our last name.
Oh, and DD's name is Finnley Louise, if that helps at all.
(I know our style doesn't tend to be the style of the majority of the board, but I'm still hoping you can offer some suggestions.)

Edit: I'm curious about what girls names are on your list. We are in the opposite boat, have a boys name but are struggling with girls this time.

I love Holden.... DH doesn't, unfortunately.
As for girl names, we tend to like unisex sounding names, like Emory (Emery/Emorie), Emerson, Berkley, McKenna, Delaney, and Leighton.... We also like Penelope, but are concerned it might be getting too common. Other names we're considering are Everleigh and Mila (well, I like them, DH doesn't). We obviously don't have it narrowed down at all, lol, but I'm almost certain we're having a boy (find out for sure in a few weeks), so we've put the girl names on the backburner for now.
Good luck with your decision!
(Oh, and BTW, Harper is one of my all-time faves - love, love, love it! Unfortunately we took it off our list because everyone else seems to have discovered how awesome it is, and on top of that, the prime minister of our country completely ruined the name for me!)
Thanks. You will have to report back when the sex is confirmed. We are team green so we have to hash out a girls name regardless. BTW, I really like Mila and can picture a little girl that looks like your daughter being a MIla :-)

Yeah, Keats is still on the table, especially since it has personal significance since I was born while my dad was writing his PhD dissertation on the poet Keats.... It's just that our last name is one syllable and starts with S, so I'm worried it won't flow very well (or that it would mash together too much). I think 2-syllable names sound best with our last name.... But we're still considering it :-)
