Leesburg Animal Park or Cox Farms? Clicky Poll!

We are headed to one of the fall festivals this Friday morning, and we only have time for one this season.  If you have been to both, please vote for the one you would choose for a 2 year old.  We are traveling from Arlington.

Feel free to post why you made your choice.

Thanks!

  • Cox is only a couple of dollars more but has a lot more so I voted for Cox.

However, at Leesburg, you can pet the animals and they may not be as busy.

  • I've only been to Cox and my 2.5 year old loved it.  FWIW, she loved it last year at 18 months as well.  We barely did half of the activities offered.  I am a distance in the car wimp as well, and I always choose the more local option.
  • I voted Leesburg, but to be fair, I've never been to Cox.  I think you can't go wrong either way!
Wife, Musician, Fed, WW-er, and Mom of three little kids - not necessarily in that order.
  • Just went to both and voted for Cox Farm. Cox farm is an overall better value and experience, but much more crowded (I went to both on a weekend). Leesburg Animal Park has a bit more variety of animals, pony and camel rides, but the rides were a bit overpriced ($3 and $7 respectively) for a 75 ft loop. It might have been my mood, but I felt like Leesburg Animal Park's festival was a lower tier version. Their staff wasn't as engaged, several swings didn't have any staff (parents were helping random kids so they wouldn't get hurt). I felt like Cox was a bit better run.
  • I don't think you can go wrong either way :)

  • Thanks for the input!  Gives me some food for thought.  :)
  • I've been to both, though haven't been to Cox this year, only last year. For a 2yo, I definitely vote Pumpkinville (Leesburg). Cox is fantastic, but a lot of stuff is more for older kids. Pumpkinville is like a smaller-scale Cox, which I think makes it just right for a 2yo. Also, it's less crowded, you can feed the animals (which I think is more fun for little kids), still go on some slides, hayride, etc. For an older (elementary school) kid, I'd definitely say Cox.
