Talk to me about 4 month shots

How did LO react to their 4 month shots? Going to get my dd gives me terrible anxiety and I am just wondering what I'm up against!

  • not bad at all, i expected worse. They are the same shots as 2 months for most babies and the oral rotovirus. good luck and i hope your little one is not too fussy.

  • She'll probably react just the same as she did for the 2 month shots.  DS actually did better with the 4 month shots.  There was no reaction at all.  The first shots he ended up sleeping for a whole day nearly.

  • I got the same reaction as with the 2 month shots. She whined with the first, wimpered with second, and cried at the third. Then she slept all night.

  • She slept a bit more than usual.  That's about it.  No need for anxiety.  Shots are extremely important.

  • With DS's 2 month shots, he slept a lot but wasn't fussy at all. With his 4 month shots, he stayed awake for 5 hours after, was a bit fussy but not bad and then spiked a little fever.  We gave Tylenol and he was back to his normal self.

Same with us. 2 month shots she ran a fever and slept a ton. 4 month shots didn't seem to phase her at all.

  • We just got ours yesterday. There were only 2 shots (as opposed to 3 at 2 months) and the oral rotovirus for us. She was better this time and only cried for a minute. She seems fine now.
  • LO got 3 shots and 1 oral vaccine, same as at 2 months. He cried when he got the shots but calmed down quickly. We gave him Tylenol that night and he was running a low fever and was fussy the next day, but he was back to his normal self within 24 hours. Good luck!

This. It was the first time DS slept from 7pm to 6am. It was wonderful!

He did get a slight fever which I gave him tylenol for.
