Period after D&C

I am now 8 weeks PP and have yet to get my period yet.  I have FF from the start so I thought it would definitely be here by now.  I had to have a D&C after LO was born because I was bleeding a lot.  I'm wondering if that could be keeping my period at bay for awhile.  Has anyone had any experience with this?  Not that I really want to have my period again or anything but I just want to make sure everything is ok.

    I had 2 D&C's b/c of missed MCs prior to DD.  I got period about 5-6 weeks after both D&Cs.
