Success after IF

sweet dog picture to counteract frustration

Here's a picture of our dog being calm and sweet with Lucas. He and Zoey were rolling all over him this morning and he didn't mind a bit. (this was after his morning run and lots of fetch in the yard)

Thanks to everyone who weighed in yesterday on my dog's behavior. We are going to figure out what we can do to improve things and hopefully he will calm down someday...

  • Oh CUTE!!  That is so sweet!  I didn't get a chance to chime in on your dog post but just wanted to say we have a German Shorthaired Pointer (super hyper, active hunting breed like labs) and he didn't start acting like he had a brain until he was three years old.  They act like giant puppies for awhile!  Hoping he calms down soon for you!

ha ha - yes, he is a giant! he stood on our scale at home the other day and weighed in at 26 pounds. It really hurts my wrists/back to lift him now.

I skimmed your post late last night and I do empathize.  As he gets older hopefully the frustrating moments will decrease as they finally did with our dog. :)

  • wow, you are a lucky dog mama! we had two, and one we had to send to live with DH's parents because he had major aggression issues. =(   the other one is mostly okay, but we could NEVER let her be in such close contact with DS--if he shoved her or something i'm sure she would nip.

    such sweet pictures! =)
