Pregnant after a Loss

Feeling "normal" again and it's driving me crazy

Just a quick post so I can get this out of my head. Mind games are TERRIBLE.  The last few days I've been feeling kind of normal, meaning not as tired, not as gassy, and no aches or cramps or general feelings of discomfort, and it's driving me absolutely crazy.   I don't have a ton of symptoms so that's not helping.  I have an U/S on Friday to determine how far along I'm (I could have mistaken implantation bleeding for a cycle so I'm 7w?d or 10w?d) and I can't wait.  Thanks for letting me get that out.

Now I'm off to the birth stories and pictures of the precious take home babies.

  • Try not to worry.  I never really had any symptoms, in fact, I never really "felt" pregnant until I was showing and could feel movement.  Just consider yourself lucky not to have nasty symptoms!!
  • I totally understand where you are coming from.  I lost symptoms at the end of week 8, they came back as full on m/s in week 9.  Now in week 10, for the past two days I don't have any symptoms again!  No breast tenderness, no nausea... no bloating or anything.  I just want my ssymptoms back!

  • I am having similar issues. My boobs still hurt, but not as much as they used to, and my 24/7 queasiness is now very minimal.  And I'm not even sure if the queasiness I'm having is pregnancy related or antibiotic related.  FWIW, I have heard that at a certain point, usually late 1st tri, the placenta takes over progesterone production and that causes symptoms to ease up.  I think a lot of us, myself included, expect symptoms to last until 12-13 weeks and then just stop, because we all know we are supposed to feel pretty good during second tri.  But I think the truth is they probably ease up closer to 9-10 weeks and then gradually get better until second tri.  I hope this helps!

  • I am totally in your same boat today and just trying to tell myself to enjoy feeling comfortable and ignore that voice in the back of my brain that is freaking out!!

  • I felt this way too. I think of it as the early 2nd tri No Man's land. You're a little earlier than I was but at about 13 weeks when my symptoms started to ease off, but couldn't feel baby move yet, it was serious cause for uncertainty for me. It's a period of limbo until you start to feel some movement. You just need to stick it out between appts. It's not easy, that's for sure. I felt small movement at 17w and since then it has been much better. I would just repeat in my head all the positive things my doc had said to me in previous appts.
