Anyone know of a good wood dollhouse for a 2-3 year old? I've seen one by Plan toys, but I'm really surprised by the lack of selection I'm finding. Any good toy websites you'd mind sharing? I'm looking for something for DS and DD to share, so I'm feeling a little "meh" about the Melissa and Doug one (too girly).
Any recs?
Re: Wooden dollhouse recs?
I have some friends who made a cute one from pieces of wood they got at the hardware store. There was almost no sawing required, it needed some glue and a handful of screws, and since you can "decorate" it yourself by gluing or otherwise adding fabric for wallpaper, carpet, etc or painting with nontoxic paints from the craft store, it can be as girly or ungirly as you like. Also, I think they spent about $10 on it total except for the dollhouse furniture. It's not super fancy, but cheaper and more EF than most store ones.
Also, there's a store near Chicago caled Gepetto's Toy Box.

If that's totally out of the way for you, they might be able to send you a catalog.
Make your own out of dresser drawers!!! You could make one side "girly" and one side more "manly"

We have this one as well. I bought it off CL fully furnished, etc. Both of my kids play with it now. Sadly we got a plastic FP loving family house as a hand-me-down and I think my DD prefers it.
Ryan's Room makes a similar house and we have some Ryan's room dolls and furniture. Educo Hape is another similar company to Play Toys.
This blog has a nice rundown on various doll houses, furniture, etc.
