A forced diet

Let me just go on the record and say that I have NO will power whatsoever. I've always been an active individual, but I've never been one to be able to say no to cookies and fruit snacks.

Well I guess someone had to take control in this situation, because all through this pregnancy I have craved the same sweet things (after 1st trimester m/s went away), but after I eat it my stomach and the taste in my mouth is enough to make me stop. I guess the baby had to take control, and now I've had to reluctantly back away from sweets. :( Even though I still want it.

Anyone else going through the same thing?  Craving what you can't have because your body literally rebels?

  • Uh me! I am right there with you, I can eat brownies or a cookie, but they have to be super warm. I can satisfy a craving with a hershey Kiss but anything else sweet, no thanks! and when I am able to eat a Hershey Kiss, I get a few kicks from my little boy, so sometimes i'll eat one just to feel him kick me! lol

  • I wish that would happen!  I normally don't have much of a sweet tooth, but this pregnancy has made me only want sweet things!  I can't stop!  On top of that, my boss just bought Halloween candy, so even though I have enough sense not to keep any in my house until right before the day, I can't stay away from hers :(

  • So glad I am not the only one with an aversion to sweets!!! I've always been the worst choco-holic!! Harris Teeter, a supermarket chain in my area, makes this insanely rich chocolate cake called the Grand Finale, and my family ALWAYS orders the whole thing (it's like 10 layers of dark choclotate) for any family event where I'm attending.

Well ever since the 1st tri I can't even THINK about chocolate without feeling nauseated... haha... I've tried eating a couple of pieces over the past months and it always leaves me nauseous... Heck I can't even stomach Nutella and that's supposed to be somewhat good for you in limited amounts.

Instead I have this constant craving for fruit and fresh veggies. They have to be fresh. I could eat apples, oranges, pears, peaches, tomatoes, carrots cucumbers, allllllll day!!

This kids is going to be super health freak! Haha...
