I just had my frist child (via c-section) 4 months ago, when he was 1 month old I had to stop breastfeeding and go back on my bc (generic yaz). A month later one day out of the blue I had a severe panic attack and ended up in the ER. They sent me home with Xanax which ended up causing me to have severe diarherra and vommiting for three days straight. I ended back in the ER due to dehydration. They suggested I see a psychiatrist who put me on Pristiq (50 mg), the panic feeling sort of subsided however every morning for about a month I would wake up feeling naseous. They upped my Pristiq to 100mg which made the naseoua go away immediatly however I still have problems breathing everyday and have to take deep breaths and get that paniced feeling. What should I do??
Re: Help---Panic Attacks!
Ugh, panic attacks are aweful, but so is the chest tightening that feels like you aren't breathing enough. Maybe you should go back to your psychiatrist, explain the continuing problem and see if they can change or add to your medication. I'm lucky that the first drug I tried, Zoloft, worked for me. You may be in the group that have to try a few more before you find a combination that really works for you.
That sucks about the Xanax reaction.
