And I win!

Hubby finally gave in and is letting me make the decision to NOT find out whether we are expecting a boy or girl. I know, I know - crazy decision, right?!

Each to their own, but I believe that this is one of the few surprises that exists in life and I am excited to wait until baby arrives to know if we have a baby boy or girl!

Have fun with Team Green! We're going to find out, but we have friends who went Team Green and enjoyed the surprise!

As a side note, I just don't understand the argument that it's "one of the few surprises in life", lol. My mom says that alllll the time (she wishes we would wait). Life surprises me all the time!!! Haha!! I'm actually thrilled when there's something in life that I can plan for and depend on (somewhat)! Stick out tongue

Yes, life does offer challenges/obstacles that provide entertainment and surprises - but the creation of a child is one of the most exciting aspects and having the "unknown" surprise element of whether it's a boy or girl is really one of the true secrets from our scientific world!

For us, its going to be a surprise.....at about 20 weeks. Idk but to me, either way...at birth or through u/s, I am going to be surprised!

We are going team Green with this pregnancy and did with DS. Some people just can not get why we are waiting which is fine to each their own.

I do know that when we had DS and no one knew it was so exciting when we called to say he was born to tell everyone they were all waiting to find out etc.

When my SILs had all 4 of my neices and nephews we knew in advance what they were having and when they went to the hospital in labor everyone was okay let us know when the baby is here and that everything is okay. Just felt like different experiences all the way around.

My feeling was that it seems like the woman's "moment" to tell everyone she's pregnant.. but the man's "moment" is to tell everyone "It's a ______!!" after the baby is born. I just wanted him to have that moment at least once, you know?

It is worth the wait! We were Team Green with my DD (our first child) but I had to find out with my second because I wanted a boy so bad and couldn't wait. After finding out at the ultrasound that he was a boy, I was kind of bummed we didn't wait and have that surprise in the delivery room. So for this one, back to Team Green!

According to everyone else, we will be Team Green. But DH and I actually want to know when we can.

My thought process? When we registered at 2-3 diff places for our wedding, people STILL just went and got us what they thought would be nice. While I appreciate any gift, I don't want a bunch of frilly dresses. I want stuff we will actually USE. And for more than one child! Plus, why don't I get to pick out the dresses?

I've known I wanted to be Team Green since way before we got pregnant. Luckily I had plenty of time to convince DH.

Once he saw friends who had a girl, and a closet that was like pink pepto-bismal explosion (all gifts), that's what helped seal the deal.

Plus, I disagree with people who think the surprise will be the same whether they find out at 20wks or at birth. I do not argue that finding out at 20wks will not be a special surprise, I'm sure it will be incredibly special & fun. Especially if you go out and purchase something boy/girl specific afterwards, or if you do a gender reveal party, or seal an envelope to open at Christmas, all special. But none will be same as finding once it's born. I'm NOT saying one is better, I just want that specific experience of finding out in the delivery room!

Yay for team green! How are you planning on finding out? Some ladies have their DH tell them, the OB tell them, and some see for themselves. I can't decide what I want to do yet.
