when did you find out the day of schedualed CS?

Hi ladies, my baby is due in March and im 19 weeks along my next US is next week. Im wondering when you found out the date you would be having your schedualed C-section? Did you get to pick the date?

It depends on how your hospital works. I think all OBs have to schedule it at 39 weeks or later (unless there is medical reason to do it earlier), and my OB said the scheduling books don't open until about 2 months ahead of time. I just scheduled my c-section when I was 28 weeks.

I found out on a Monday that I would be having my CS on Friday. LO was breech, so we were waiting to see if he would turn.

My little one was breech and we waited to schedule until the 38 week appointment. He was born one week and 1 day later at 39w 1d.

I knew I would be a repeat c-sec when I got pregnant- they didnt schedule my section date til my 36w appt and my doc said most hospitals wont put you on the schedule sooner than your 39w unless medically necessary...

Mine was scheduled when I was 34 weeks. I had her at 38w 5d due to scheduling, but normally, my OB does scheduled c/s during week 39.

I scheduled mine in August for December 5th. I had asked my OB at my June appt and he told me that I could pick a date and the office would check with the hospital for availability.

My ob made a special exception for me. I scheduled mine at 19w. Normally she doesn't schedule them until 36w

My OB said that when I'm around 15-16 weeks that we can officially pick the date and time. He said that there wont be any booked yet so I can have my pick of the week before my EDD. I'm due May 19 so I'm going to pick May 14 at noon. That way I can get DS1 on the bus before we have to leave for the hospital and he can come visit us as soon as school is over.

I found out exactly 1 month before the surgery. My office does scheduled C-sections on Wednesdays or Thursdays so we got to pick which. The time however was given to us by the hospital. However in the end it did not matter for me because I ended up going into labor the night before I was scheduled and instead of having her at 1:00pm I had her at 6:23am.

I found out at 5pm the night before & was told to be at the hospital by 5:30am...and I was not expecting a c-section for sure until my 2nd growth ultrasound that morning. I was a little shocked!

I am not sure when I will be able to pick the day. However, my OB said I can do that when she knows what day she is scheduled to be at the hospital. My OB schedules all of her scheduled c-sections to be on the day that she is in surgery. I think that might be one day a week.

I was able to schedule it with my doctor at week 32, he wouldn't do it before, although I asked during every appointment. Can't wait for 12/02 to arrive and meet my little girl

I got to pick from a few dates. It depended on when my doc was going to be at the hospital and if there was space. We didnt get to make a choice until about a month before. It was wonderful knowing when I was going to see my baby! My first was an emergency C but with my second it was nice just walking in and saying Im having a baby today!

I am 36 weeks and found out last week (35 weeks) that I will prob. need a scheduled c-section since my baby boy is in the breech position. Will prob. go ahead and schedule it at this week's doctors appt. Sad

hopefully he will turn at the last minute! (fingers crossed)

We to are "picking a date" however just keep in mind he/she may still come early.

(My youngest brother was sched. 2 weeks ahead of his EDD and still came 4 days earlier then that.)

My OB scheduled it at my appt at 34w4d. I was scheduled for 37w5d but didn't quite make it. My daughter decided she wanted to make her appearance a few days earlier. I delivered the twins at 37w2d.
