BF with breast implants?

Hello ladies! I am new here, but have been lurking for a while. I have been waiting for someone else to post about this but now I must ask. Have any of you had any experience BF with breast implants? Does this change anything? I did not BF with my DD who is now 11, but would like to try with my new LO. My implants are 10yrs old, and of course my surgeon said it should make no difference if I choose to BF. Just looking for someone with personal experience with this. Thanks!

    I'm EBF and have implants as well.  There's no interference whatsoever and you'll be able to BF just fine.  My DS gets plenty of milk and is growing like crazy!

    I had implants 5 years ago through aereolar incisions, and bfing is going just great for me. And as for PP info on implants, sure, some women with them do not put out as much milk, and some cannot BF at all, but there is no way to know if the surgery caused that or if that was a predisposition of their bodies. Just look at all the women posting about BFing issues on the Bump that have not had augmentations. GL to you!

    I had a mastopexy (they remove extra skin and actually take your nipple off and put it back in a new location) as well as implants and haven't had any issues. If this is due to luck or my specific surgery, I don't know. When I spoke to my dr he said you only really know when you try. My lactation consultant said many women with implants are able to BF just fine.

    I have implants and bf just fine. Mine were inserted through my arm pit and behind the muscle. I'm not sure if that makes a difference but so far so good. I constantly am worrying about supply but I think I'm just a little crazy about it.
