Baby food makers - babycook and brezza

I was thinking of getting the Bebea Babycook and then saw the Baby Brezza on Amazon and now I'm not sure which one I want.  The Brezza gets slightly better reviews and is $50 cheaper, but I have a gift card to Williams Sonoma and they only sell the babycook so I'm not sure the price difference really matters.  Anyone have any experience with either?

  • I honestly wouldn't bother with a gadget just for babyfood.  I'm making food for #2 and do just fine with a stick blender.  It's extra nice because I can make smoothies for myself and my 3 yo with it.

  • I want to get a baby food maker mainly because I want to steam the food and blend it in one container.
  • I got the Beaba from someone really cheap so that is the only reason I have one. I liked that it was ONE unit on my counter for steaming and pureeing. I didn't have to steam here, drag out my food processor to puree and mix up. I just don't have that much counter space so this was useful and took up very little space for us

  • I would get a stick blender. Steam in the pot and then blend in the pot. Those things are expensive and don't cook very much.

I have heard it is a pain to clean.

like others stated just use your blender or food processor. it is easy to clean and is not taking up more space and can be used for other things. plus you can make larger batches.

also know that most babies are not on purees for very long.

  •  we got the baby bullet and we love it. We wanted a regular magic bullet for us but when we looked at the prices the baby bullet was cheaper and came with nmore stuff. we use the storage containers they come with and we also save the baby food jars from store and use them. we love it. so easy. you steam veggie or fruit, put it in bullet with some water and in 5 seconds it is puree
  • We have a stick blender... it works great!!!!

  • Hi Tessie,

I would get the Baby Brezza from Amazon. I have it and love it!

The Baby Brezza is has more benefits than the Babycook:

    • Brezza automatically blends after steaming
    • Brezza can store in fridge or freezer
    • Easy one-step process
    • Cleaning is much easier
The Baby Brezza is a better product!
