Daycares South Houston/Pearland?

I know its been asked before but I'm asking it again.

Any recommendations? We're looking for just 2 days a week of daycare for a 1 year old ( or around that age).

Also, when you go tour daycares do you bring your child with you? I mean it seems like you would but it also seems like you shouldn't... I'm so confused!!

 Thanks!

  • dd goes to krk and we love it.

i think you may have a hard time finding part time spots for an infant. every one that we looked at didn't offer any part time spots until the age of 2. have you considered any mothers day out programs?

  • I think I might be in trouble with the times for MDO though.. 9-330 might not work.

I suppose it would help if I could set my mind on finding a new job.. but wanted to start getting a feel for daycares since we'll most likely need one.

  • Agree with Melissa - it might be hard to find part time for that age, but definitely check around.

We did not bring DS, but when we were looking, we were still PG (so does that mean we did bring him?  Wink ).  You could probably do either.  If it's convenient for someone else to watch your LO, then I would probably go alone, so you can make sure to have adequate time to ask any questions you want - w/o fear of LO having a meltdown or needing something.  Plus you can go to several in one time frame pretty efficiently, if you aren't having to worry about carseats, baby schedules, etc.

  • I think Tottenberry's lets you do on a daily basis.

Tottenberry's does let you do part time; I had DD in three days a week when she was there last year (we moved, which is the only reason we left).  You can do two days a week as well.  Definitely call them; they're great!

Thanks to both of you! Will look into them!
