Children's Museum tips?

Tomorrow is Everett's first birthday (I can't believe it!) and DH is taking the day off so we can spend it doing fun things with her.  We were going to head up to Burt's Pumpkin Farm but the weather is supposed to be awful.  So instead I think we are going to try the Children's museum.  I just looked at the website and am actually really excited, it looks like they have a bunch of fun stuff for her to do!

Anyone have any tips?  Is she an ok age for it?  She has been walking since 10.5 months.  Should we bring a stroller?  Is she going to get dirty?  It looked like there were areas for her to paint, play with sand, get into water, etc. I don't want to ruin a cute outfit, will it be a problem?

Thanks!

  • They have raincoats kids can put on to play in the water, and aprons to put on by the paint. I don't think she will get dirty. You can bring a stroller but then you have to push it around with you, so it is up to you. There will probably be field trip groups there, so be prepared for older kids running around crazy.
