Foster Son update. He's coming on Thursday!

Hey all!

I posted last week that I might be getting a foster son... well I had a chance to meet him and his current care giver and he's definitely coming home with me on Thursday!!

I had a chance to go shopping and stuff yesterday so I got diapers and pullups and a potty seat for the toilet... and a high chair and clothes... oh man tons and tons of stuff!

So that's all I've got. I still need to get him quite a bit more clothes but I think I have enough for when he gets here to not have to take him out shopping in the first week.

I'll update again when I get him and we'll see how my household stands up to a two year old

Thank you!! Right now it is classified as reunification. But I am leaning more towards it will go to adoption and we are approved to adopt as well... so that would be exciting, but I am okay too with the parents getting their life together and getting their son back too. I am just happy to help while they need time to truly pull themselves together.

You are so amazing. Good luck. Be prepared for a lot of toddler proofing if you haven't already. Little boys seem to get into everything. My DS is 18 months, so if you need any advice, I'm here to help if I can

CONGRATS!!! that is so awesome you will have so much fun with a little guy. and plus I think that this pregnancy is going so much faster since I have my DS to keep me busy. Let us know how your house holds up (which im sure it will do just fine)

I'm practically tearing up over this! That's so wonderful! For years, DH and I have wanted to take part in the foster program, but haven't been able to. I'm so happy for you, your family, and your new foster son!
