Re: Deviled egg craving. What's your recipe.
I didn't start craving them til now lol I don't have a recipe either...shoot!
Mmm, I craved them so much in my first trimester that I think I ODed
I use Miracle Whip instead of Mayo and a table spoon of Ranch dressing (just enough to give it some extra flavor).
Now I am craving them again
Oh great...now we're all going to be wanting them!
I don't really have a "recipe". I just boil the eggs, pick out the yolks and mix it with miracle whip and mustard until it tastes about right. Then I fill the eggs back up and top with paprika. It's kinda the lame way to do it...but I like it. I think my mom mixes in some vinegar...or maybe some pickle relish.
I don't really have a recipie, I just make it the same way my mother always did:
1) Boil eggs...cut in half....de-yolk them.
2) Take the bowl of yolks and using a fork, crush up the yolks so they're easier to mix later.
3) Put in a scoop of mayo, a squirt of mustard, a spoonful of relish (if you like relish - I LOOOVE relish!) and a splash of vinegar. (You can add some pepper to taste if you'd like)....Then I stir it all up, tasting it to make sure I don't need to add anything (and making sure it's not too dry...if it is I add more mayo)...
4) Then I scoop the yolk mix into the egg whites and top each one with paprika.
Sorry I can't give you exact measurements! My mother never measured...I always just used tablespoons...it depends on how many eggs you're making. All I can stress is to taste test it so you can see what's missing
They ALWAYS turn out to be the hit at the parties I bring them to!

Ohhh those sound so good! I might need to make some now!
I made them a few years ago, I think all I did was add mayo and some vinegar to the yolks before spooning them back in to the whites.

I follow just about the same recipe but I don't use relish. I do however add a little bit of dill pickle juice instead of vinegar. I think it adds a little extra kick. So yummy. Now I think I'm going to have to make them tonight.
I sent DH to the store for mayo.
