Anyone thinking about xmas yet?

I'm trying to spread out my xmas shopping and I'm looking for ideas besides clothes for my 21 month old. I know I want to get a growth chart. I also got some flash cards, and some age appropriate Legos (she likes them). What do you have on your list??

books, puzzles, coloring books, an old fashioned spin top, an old fashioned jack in the box, pkg of first underwear (*gulp*) <- stuff already purchased.

if i wrap all of it separately, she'll have plenty to unwrap but her bday is 4 days later so we do need to get something else. was originally thinking of getting a play kitchen but am thinking more about getting a car ramp set or a train set. and maybe a cool firetruck or ambulance she could push around- or another school bus. girl loves school buses and firetrucks and ambulances and trains.

Ooohhhh... a spin top. DH has been bugging me about getting one of those for DS. Where'd you get yours?

stever- zulily.com had a set of old fashioned stuff a while back including one of those and i snagged it up b/c she's always asking me to spin one of her toys for her that's not meant for spinning. : )

if i remember, i'll see if can look up the manufacturer and post it tomorrow.

Some ideas for you are: step stool, doll stroller, shopping cart, baby dolls, blocks, books. No need to go overboard at that age.

DS is getting lots of cars (including Cars cars), a Cars garage, Thomas train wooden set, PJs, books and other small odds and ends.

We just go out of town for a Christmas get-away. The teens will each get a little something and the baby will get a little something but generally we don't exchange a lot of gifts (a welcome change from a few years ago). We also leave town because our families are crazy...not having to deal with them during the holidays is the best gift!!
