Tell me about this elimination diet...I think I've basically been doing it (no dairy, just fruits, veggies, and meat), but how long til you see an improvement? Also, what about prenatals? DD has a milk allergy...could the calcium in that hurt as well? That might be a ridiculous question...but you never know?!?
Re: Elimination Diet? Prenatal Vitamins?
Calcium in prenatal vitamins probably isn't related to milk.
But if you want to make sure to keep taking prenatals but want them to be allergy-safe, Perry Prenatals are a hypoallergenic prenatal.
I have heard that some prenatal do contain milk and/or soy.. But it should say it clearly if it does. Which ones are you using?
You should see a huge difference anywhere between 1 and 4 weeks. Depending on the severity of the allergy.
I'm taking prenexa prenatal vitamins...:)
i think it only contains soy.. the site says -
Do NOT use PreNexa if:
doesn't say anything about dairy though. but if you are eliminating soy and fish than i would get a new prescription.
Or maybe avoid it for a week or two and see if it makes a difference.
btw - i wonder if that's why my son was still having reactions during my elimination diet.. darn prenatals! i can't wait to get home and check if there is dairy/soy in them. I never even though about that
