HEART SKIPS and ANXIETY!

So a couple years I started having anxiety problems.. then the heart skips started... When I found out I was pregnant they started FULL BORE!

I feel them a couple ways.. sometimes it's a bump in my chest.. but sometimes it feels like it takes my breath, those are the ones that scare me!! ANYONE ELSE?

  • I occasionally have a PVC (premature ventricular contraction)...and it feels exactly like you described. Mine aren't really related to anxiety - they just seem random. Before getting pregnant I would have one very infrequently - maybe once every two months at most. Now I seem to have 1 or 2 most days. I keep meaning to talk about it with my doctor...but keep forgetting (pregnancy brain :-) )

  • i get that too!  I was never officially diagnosed wiht anything though. It happens so randomly & infrequently that it never showed up on an EKG or anything. Anyway, i haven't really had it too much with this one but i do remember getting it frequently wiht my first.  I was definitely more anxious then, though.  I'm sure you are ok, just make sure you are taking care of yourself and your little bean!

  • I have a heart issue where it skips and then cant pump all the blood out and i have a leaky valve. Short story it led to 2 heart attacks and a minor stroke before my 21st birthday all within the space of 6 months. I ignored my little heart skips and pains until it was almost too late. talk to your doctor. I dont want this to scare you but your need to listen to your body. Make sure your eating right and working out even if its just walking for 30 min a day. Drink tons of water and try to pay attention to what your doing when it happens. The more the doctor will know the better your appointments will be.  Good luck and let us know what they say.
