my boss joked about my dead baby
I was telling her about how my 5 year old son woke up in hysterics missing his baby brother, and how he kept asking me, "Mommy, can't you just go pick Brady up?" What does my boss do? She laughed and said, "you should have gotten the urn, picked it up and said <mocking throwing urn back and forth between her hands> 'look, I'm picking him up right now." Laughing continues. WTF?

OMG - I want to throw up after reading that! You definitely need to file a complaint with your HR department. That is just sick and wrong, and she needs to know it is NOT acceptable!

You should still be able to go over her head. I would go to Corporate (if you have it) or to the president of the company. That is unacceptable.
What a horrible, awful, terribly insensitive thing to say! I agree with PP, a call to HR is definitely in order here. Along with slashed tires and maybe a kick in the shins for good measure. Ugh, that's so disgusting! I'm sorry you had to put up with her callousness!
