I went to the dermatologist yesterday about my hair thinning so much and having a receeding hairline after having my baby. She said that the hairloss usually starts at 3 months and plateaus at 6 months. She said between the 6 month and year mark, hair should stop falling out so much and actually begin to regrow. The bad thing is that she told me that I haven't reached my worst point yet and that a majority of my hairline will regrow, but will probably be thinner than the rest of my hair from now on. I was happy to hear some of the news, but the rest made me sad. I definitely plan to have a second baby in the near future, but I hope things won't be even worse the second time around, or even less regrowth. Darn hormones!!!

Re: Talked to Dermatologist about hairloss
This is not comforting! Did she say anything about taking biotin? Some people have recommended it to me.
I was thinking about it.
P.S. I love the pictures of your twins. Babies interacting is adorable.

I have this too. I wish it would thin somewhere less noticable. I'm getting mine cut and shaped at my shoulders and doing a side bang on Friday. I just want to hide it. I also started taking biotin. I really hope she's wrong about the timeline..

This was the first story I saw this morning when I opened Yahoo...seems we're also dealing with it during the worst season when everyone's hair is alreasy shedding. Ugh.
