  • Your doctor will give you the pre-op directions.  My section is scheduled for 7:30 and I can't eat after midnight the night before.  I can't remember if I can drink water or not, but I probably won't because anestesia does bad things to me and i really want to minimize my chances of vomiting on the table again.  You'll do fine, just don't over think it.

  • Okay this might seem totally weird, but I live in OP, KS and you look a lot like the weather lady on channel 9. Just wondering if you've ever been told that before... or if its you Smile

  • I had a scheduled c-section because of a breech baby too.  Given that I had to have a c-section, it was nice to plan ahead (I ended up going into labor the night before but at least my bags were packed and we were all ready to go!)  I think just going into it with a positive attitude is important.  I just kept focusing on the fact that I was doing it for the health of myself and the baby and, in the end, I would be a mommy no matter how she came out.   My instructions were no eating or drinking after midnight the night before.  Different doctors will tell you different things so I would ask your doctor for specifics. I know it's hard, but those instructions are to keep you safe during surgery!

  • My csection was scheduled for 12 noon.  I couldn't have anything to eat or drink after midnight and my csection got pushed back to around 4:30.  I was starving and grumpy.

so did you have her vaginally or by c-section since you went into labor the night before?  I hope my baby boy turns at the last minute! lol

  • I had her by c section because she was still breech when I got to the hospital.  But I have a bicornuate uterus so it was very unlikely she would turn.  There is always hope and I've heard that it can happen!  But honestly, having a c-section isn't really that bad.  Especially if it's planned.
