I wanted to get my son the little reader thing they keep advertising on the tv, where the words are highlighted as the program reads it so they can follow along and all that. i think it even shows that it does letter sounds, work, etc. I'm not sure what it is exactly (i'm sure i'll figure it out soon), but do yall have any of these things? Our PA at the doctor's office was at target and she bought her daughter the leap pad- it has APPS (really?!?!). I want something that he'll like that will teach him, and read to him, because while we read to him, he would like us to read to him all day, every day.
Re: leap pad? leapster? leap reader thingie?
I don't pay attention to commercials, so I'm not sure which product you are seeing.
I got ds the Leap pad and we love it! It helped him learn how to write all his upper and lower case letters. We have only bought 2 "games" for it so far. They are all learning based games.
There are reading "games" and apps but I haven't bought any of those yet. So I am not sure how they work but I will be looking into those soon!
Ok, I think I caught the tail end of the commercial you are talking about and it's the V-Reader.
