Ugh Diarrhea

Anyone have a little one with diarrhea currently? My little one stopped wanting solids last tuesday. then on friday started with a phlegmy cough (but only every once in a while), decreased appetite with his bottles and some diarrhea. We went to the Dr. saturday and he said it was viral and will be a couple days. I'm just wondering how long this will last? I called the Dr. today to let him know there is still Diarrhea 2x per day (no solid bm) and he said he wasn't concerned because he isn't going constantly and is getting 22 - 24 oz of fluids a day. THIS STINKS!!!! (no pun intended)

    DD just got over the past week of vomiting on and off and diarrhea.  Vomiting started last Monday and had diarrhea for a few days and two babies in her daycare also had diarrhea.  She also had a decreased appetite all week and barely ate solids.  Her pedi said these viral infections last 3-7 days and if it lasted longer than yesterday (the 7th day) to call him.  But today she seems fine and appetite is back to normal.  He had me give her pedialyte for 24 hours to make sure she didn't get dehydrated.  It sucks but it does clear up, at least DDs did in about a week.  Good luck!

    My little guy had it last week and it lasted for only 12 hours.  We took him to urgent care around hour 11 because he wasn't peeing.  He wasn't fully dehydrated, but we ended up changing his formula to a gentler version and trying to get him to take any amount, almost having to give him pedialyte by syringe if needed.  It ended up stopping that night right after we got home, go figure.  He didn't have any other symptoms but we were afraid he was getting dehydrated.  The culture came back and there was no bacteria, so it was viral.
