November 2011 Moms

I stood up and she pushed me back down.

The baby that is... Well I don't put much stock in how I've been feeling.  Lots of braxton hicks with and without pain, some taking my breath away (due to constriction, not severe pain), severe pressure, having to pee right after I pull my leggings back up and it hurts to walk until I loosen up.  I've been blaming it on having to sit for long periods of time or this just being the way you feel two weeks before you're due, but today when I stood up from my desk and actually had to lean on the cubical wall (because they're so stable) because she was pushing down so hard, I almost sat back down, I wondered - am I close?  Are most Early November Mommies feeling like this or am I not giving credit where credit is due.

Re: I stood up and she pushed me back down.

  • I totally feel that way and I'm only 34 weeks.  About 30% of the time when I stand up, I have to hold onto my cubicle walls until the baby stops pushing down.  And Heaven help me if I have to go to the bathroom when I get up.  Yikes.

  • This early November mommy is right with you. Today I spent over an hour walking in circles around my office just to make the pain and pressure go away (and to reassure myself that I wasn't in labor yet!)

  • Yep count me in!!!!!! Only I don't usually have anything in front of me to hold on to so I just fall back down to the couch on my a** and lord have mercy if I am in need of a toilet. I have been changing atleast twice a day and yes I'm wearing liners.... :( Gotta switch to pads I suppose...

  • Same thing here.  I have to really go slow and easy when getting up because of the pressure.  When he's being really active I swear he throws off my entire sense of balance.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one experiencing this! It actually happens right before I can actually feel my uterus contracting, I suddenly feel this tightness in my chest and it's hard to breathe. The contraction starts right after. Usually it's painless, but the thing that just makes most uncomfortable is the difficulty breathing through it. I mentioned it to my midwife and she said it was normal, so at least I'm not as worried as I was the first few times it happened.

  • Same here!  I guess it makes sense since we're only a couple weeks away from our due dates.
