Daycare pricing in Boston and Cambridge

I'm looking at daycare options in Cambridge and Boston for an infant. I visited a Bright Horizons center and their full time rate is around $2500. The program manager said all centers will have similar price. What other daycare centers are there in Boston and Cambridge areas?

    We got to First Steps ELC in Medford.  It's a daycare center and about $1450 for an infant.  In Boston/Cambridge, especially for a chain, that (1800-2500) is how much they will charge.  However, I have to imagine that upwards of $24,000/year is not affordable for a lot of people and there must be cheaper alternatives, perhaps in home family day cares?

    I go to an in home daycare and it's 8 dollars an hour. If you are open to this route I'd research in homes. If you google MA licensed daycares a site should pop up with a way to search for you location.
