Pain in lower stomach 3 months after c-section

Just wondering if after your c-section how long you had pain and is it normal? I am 3 months out and I am still having some pain at night when I get up to feed my baby. At times it is a pain that seems like a "burning" feeling. Just wondering if anyone had the same pain or should I be worried.

Re: Pain in lower stomach 3 months after c-section

  • I had a c-section 7 years ago and have my next scheduled in March; but I do remember this.  Actually I had some abdominal "discomfort" like that first year.  It was a burning type sensation those first few months and then after that it was like a sometimes crampy feeling -- like when you ovulate maybe?  I found I always experienced those feelings after lifting things.  Hope you feel better!

I haven't had any discomfort for a month or so I'm really feeling uncomfortable today and thinking about scheduling a doc appointment.

  • i actually went to the dr and am having an ultra sound. He wanted to make sure everything is okay! I feel better knowing that my dr wants to make sure everything is okay!

  • I felt so much pain with my first C. The second one was much easier -even with a 3yr old at home. The pain is from all the muscles cut and everything moved around to get to the baby. It takes a while for the muscles to fuse back together, especially the deeper cuts. I still have issues with my undies because of where the incision spot. It does get better, usually takes about 6mo to really feel like your insides are where they should be. If you feel like something is wrong then talk to your doc. You know your body.
