How often are you burping your LO during a bottle feed?

My DH said to burp every ounce....that seems like quite a bit. I have been doing it halfway thru and then at the end.

DD1 was a huge spitter, so we burped every 1-2 oz for the first 6 months or so, until the spitting calmed down.

DD2 rarely spits up, so I only burp her once mid-bottle. She doesn't always tolerate it, but I give it a try for a minute or two.

DH takes 4oz at each feeding and has recently become quite the spit-up king...we try to burp every oz, but often have difficulty getting a burp out until the end.

I am BF'ing, but with my nieces, one would have to be burped every ounce (she was very gassy) and the other just halfway through and again at the end.
