Have you tried vinegar? I use that, works like a charm. I put it in a spray bottle and use it around the baseboards or if they have a specific point of entry, I spray that. The smell goes away as it dries so it doesn't stink all day.
I've also heard that mint gum(still in the wrappers) works..
Are the ants playing their radio at a reasonable volume?

I got rid of them by mixing Borax with some sugar (actually I used Crystal Light because that's all I had haha) and sprinkling it in the high volume areas. They were all dead by morning and never came back.
Cinnamon is a natural deterrant. It won't kill them but if you sprinkle it at the point of entry and anywhere else you see them, it will prevent them from coming back. We have horrible ant problems in the spring and summer thanks to the kids and the cinnamon has helped so far.
We tried that and it didn't help. Damn cinnamon immune mutant ants

I went with the borax and it worked like a dream. They were eating the cat food this spring, and the cinnamon wasn't working for us, either. My poor cats would just sit and look at their food bowls, swarming with ants, they couldn't eat. It was sad.
Lysol 4 in 1 kills ants, I swear. I don't even buy ant killer anymore, I just use the lysol. I first tried it out of desperation, I just spray directly on them, follow their line back to the wall, and spray the dickens out of their point of entry. I wipe up the initial 'kills' immediately but I leave it on the point of entry for a couple hours. Good luck, I HATE ants inside my house!!
We had a crazy ant infestation three years ago. It was terrible. They were coming over from the neighbor's house and we just couldn't get rid of them. We called Terminex. Best call we ever made.

I'm so glad they didn't come back from the dead. Can you imagine zombie ants?

I saw once on TV that you should feed the ants outside and they won't come inside.
I am sure you have, but have you tried Terro? That stuff has never failed me.

I use the regular white distilled. A friend used the apple cider kind and it worked as well.
