Call me a hypocrite, but...

You know, I would read all these posts about girls having their symptoms start to fade away, and they would be so nervous and scared that something was wrong, even though its well known that your symptoms can come and go, and that some don't have many sypmtoms at all, and I would just get so annoyed by it... Until about a week ago, when most of my symptoms are starting to go away... Nausea is cut down to about once every couple of days rather than all day every day, Im not breaking out everywhere, my skin and hair is no longer oily, etc.

Now I can totally relate to what these other girls were going through being so scared that since their symptoms are gone, if something could be wrong...

And my next appointment isnt until next tuesday, I really dont want to wait that long...

I can surely say now though, I wont get annoyed by the posts that ladies put up about having their symptoms dicipate or be totally gone... Im right there with them...

  • I know what you mean.  Now that I have been feeling halfway human the last couple of days I am trying really really hard to just enjoy it, too.  Tuesday's not so far away; try to enjoy yourself and go do something you couldn't do when you were feeling sick.

  • I think its natural to be worried if you had very strong symptoms and they all of a sudden just disappear.

I haven't had strong symptoms yet so it doesn't really worry me when the few symptoms I do have come and go.

  • Don't worry if you can, the symptoms will probably come back with a vengeance!  They did for me anyway.  I had the same scare last week, 4 days of feeling too good, better each day.  Then bam, sicker than I had been before.  Now I wish I could have enjoyed that time, but instead i worried and fretted that my appt. wasn't until this week - I think hormones/symptoms fluctuate based on dr. appts, it's like our bodies know!  Now that my appt is almost here I have no worries because I'm SO sick.

  • For many women, syptoms peak around 10 weeks and then start to decrease.  Based on your ticker, it looks like you are just right on track!

  • That's supposed to happen around this time!  It's a GOOD thing!  My nausea has mostly subsided too and I am just grateful for every day that I don't feel like barfing and can eat like a normal person. And remember, some ladies never have nausea any worse than what you are reporting, once every couple of days.  I had terrible acne and oily skin from about 5 weeks to 8 weeks and now my skin has cleared up totally.  Just try to relax.  Symptoms like those aren't a good reflection on how things are going with your baby, they are just a result of your body adjusting to the crazy new hormones.  Once your body gets used to them, the symptoms aren't as pronounced.  It's GOOD.  And anyway, they can come back at anytime.
