White convetible crib

Would a white crib for a boy be too girly?  My mom and dh seem to think so, but I don't.  I think it still wouldn't be for an older child either if I go the convertible route.  Thoughts?

  •   We have a white crib for our little man, and it looks great. The bedding and the room decor can help make things as masculine as you like.

  • We've always had a white crib for Alec.
  • 3 boys all in a white crib in the lakes house.  :)

  • Okay, so what about as a boy-teen years? Would it be too girly then?   I'm looking at a convertible crib, like the one we got Max.

  • We have an inexpensive convertible graco lauren white crib and are planning to use it for ds when he is born.  It was Lily's.  I think white is ok for little boys before school age.  We will probably buy a more sturdy furniture set for him as he gets older to last into his teen years.

  • We are planning on white for our little boy, and like one of the other posters said, you can make it more masculine with your room decor.

What about painting it when you convert it into a bed?

  • I think white would be fine for whatever age. It is all about the bedding you choose to go with it.

its all about the rest of the decor.  go look on pinterest, I'm sure you'll find LOTS of big boy rooms with white.

  • also, I'm banking on the fact that teenage boys aren't going to give a crap what kind/color furniture they have, or even if they have any at all.  I'll guess it is teenage girls who are going to have issues with something like this.  :)
