I have a bicornuate uterus confirmed during my c-section. My OB feels this is most likely the reason that my LO was breech and future children may also be breech. He also advised me to deliver future children by c-section, even if they are not breech. Any 2+ moms with bicornuate uterus have a VBAC or is repeat c-section a common recommendation? Also, is/are my next child(ren) destined to be breech?! TIA
Re: 2+ moms...bicornuate uterus
I have a BU also. Babies have a hard time turning around with such a small space which is why there's a higher risk of breech babies. So no, yours aren't "destined" but yes it's likely.
Both my guys figured out how to wiggle up into the other horn at the last minute so they were head down. However, the severity of my anomaly prevents my uterus from contracting correctly. It's can't squeeze the babies down because it's not squeezing as one whole unit (the center doesn't really contract). My babies don't drop down as a result so I've had 2 c/s and will have a 3rd in January.

I have a BU and a partial septum...it wasn't discovered until my csection...so explains being breech. The doctor told me I could totally have a vbac next time around if my baby is head down but also warned me my chances of having a breech baby is 50-60% higher than that of other women....boo!
I'm hoping for a vbac next time around but mentally preparing for a csection again...
If I were you I would just get another opinion and even a third next time.....they all practice/believe differently
