So BM is due soon, her due date isn't until the Nov 20 but she thinks she is further along then the drs say (she didn't get an u/s until very late, so they said the due date could be inaccurate) and thinks the baby will be born withinin the next couple weeks. So I'm trying to get everything packed and ready so we can just jump in the car when she calls us. I've been making lists of everything we'll need. THe one thing I'm not sure of is how many clothes to pack. Agency told to expect to be there about a week for ICPC. We're staying at an extended-stay hotel, which has a laundry room we can use. But I really don't want to have to be doing laundry constanly.
How many outfits would you suggest or did you take? About how many outfits will baby need per day? And what kind of clothes should I take for him (onesies, long sleeve onesies, pants, sleepers).
Also, any suggestions of things I should be sure to take, or something you wished you had or were glad to have. Thanks!

Probably 2-3 outfits per day, just in case. I'd go with onesies and sleepers for the most part.
You may want to swaddle, so I'd look into bringing swaddle blankets. There's someone here who has a standard to-go list, hopefully they'll post.

Mar '12: Homestudy interrupted by change in Uganda requirements - where do we go from here?
After searching and searching, back with Uganda but with our homestudy agency's program.
Homestudy complete July 19
USCIS I-600A submitted July 20. Biometrics appointments arrived Aug 17; fingerprinted Aug 21; 171H received Sept 25th. On the wait list Oct 1st: #18. By Jan 25th, we're #13!
Come home, baby A!
Our DD had a mild case of reflux, once we figured that out, we were down to 2-3 outfits a day. Depending on where you're going- I agree maybe just take some onesies and sleepers. We live in AZ, and it's still 100 degree's out, so most days DD is just in a romper with socks.
Make sure to take burpies and bibs to, in case there is a spit up problem. This saved us having to go through outfits since we could just catch her spit up with the burpie/bib.
We also loved the Aiden and Anais swaddlers (they're gynormous) and the summer infant swaddle me blankets (think straight jackets for babies).
Best of luck! Can't wait to hear all about your little man!
I would definitely do 4-6 outfits a day. We stayed at an extended stay motel and we did laundry just about every day. After a week there I didn't want to have to do a lot of laundry when I got back. I would take onesies in 3-6 months mostly with maybe a few NB. Ben wasn't in NB long at all and he was 8.7 lbs. Also, depending on where you are going you can buy some long sleeve sleepers too. Good Luck!
I would take 3 outfits per day. Just do onesies or sleepers. Burp rags, receiving blankets, diapers, wipes, formula, and a pacifier. If you are flying, you will want to have the baby sucking a pacifier or drinking a bottle on take off and landing, to keep ears from popping. Enjoy this time, it goes by so darn fast. I wish you all the luck and congrats.
We took two onesies, two footie sleepers, and a few receiving blankets. I did some laundry in the sink, and all worked out well! Luckily a newborn can get away with wearing PJs in public...
Remember that you can always purchase extra clothing and supplies at your destination.
What I really wish we'd brought with us? Music and videos (and a laptop on which to play the videos)! Watching TV in the hotel room each evening grew very old, very quickly-- and I wished I could introduce baby immediately to the music she'd hear at home.
And a baby carrier! I so wished I'd packed my moby wrap, as we toured a great deal during the day.
We were out of state for two weeks after LO came home from hospital with us. Other than clothes, the most helpful items were the moby wrap, swing, Dr. Brown's bottles, and Aiden and Anais swaddles (he was almost 10lbs when born, so the traditional receiving blankets just didn't swaddle as well). For outfits, we only brought a handful with us, which was good because he wore newborn size for about a nanosecond. We were fortunately in a city that had Target, Babies R Us, and Carter's, so I made a quick run so I had about 6 onesies and 8 sleepers by the end.
