February 2012 Moms

I can no longer see my TMI!!

OMG...I was in the shower today and realized I could not see my wooha!  I told DH and his response "Well, at least it's not summer anymore...but if you need help I'll take care of your bikini line for you."

He is very sweet, it ain't gonna happen, but he's sweet.  But really I'm sad I can't see my wooha anymore.  Next we will all say goodbye to our feet!

Thanks for letting me be anonymously inappropriate!

  • I can't see mine either, but I still like to keep it groomed down there...very difficult.  Am I supposed to let it get crazy down there?

  • I can't see mine either. DH thinks its hilarious. Good thing I can take care of it, for the most part, "blind". I work at a spa so I already told the estheticians that they will be seeing me very soon!

  • As a FTM, I have been wondering the same thing!  I think it would be weird to just let it all go....I mean in a few months there will be quite a few people looking around in that area!!  Maybe some 2nd time moms can help us out!

PS that was really sweet of your DH to offer to keep up with the maintenance :-)

  • Thank God I'm not the only one with this problem!!!  I'm having to strangley situate myself to stay all nice down there.  But I'm gonna do my best and then go to the waxer!!

  • LOL, i read "knocked up" and that was one of the things she mentions in the book - that nurses (apparently) make fun of the "bush" women. i've never had a wax before, and i'm a little nervous about it... however, i think it's totally worth it. :)

Thank you!  He is pretty amazing!  This is the same guy who would dye and highlight my hair in his barracks room when I didn't have the money to get it done.

  • I can still see mine but as soon as it is out of view I will be getting routine waxes done.

Yes shaving has become quite a hassle.  I let it all go when I was pregnant with DD but I am trying to keep up with it this time.  I have never waxed so I don't think I'm going to start while pregnant and honestly no one mentioned anything when I was a hairy beast last time so it won't break my heart to stop shaving.

get it done girl!!  it's not as painful as you would think...it's like getting your eyebrows done but instead its your vagina!

  • Ive been waxed for about 5 years now.. I stopped when I got my BFP but I am going back asap- calling to make an appt this week. I trim with scissors  so far and it works but will be heading back to the wax...
  • This post is hilarious because I just mentioned this to my DH this weekend! I shave with the "feel with my fingers first" method. lol. Obviously it's not gonna be perfect, but with my DD (3 1/2 years ago) I was able to maintain it throughout the whole pregnancy. Have faith ladies :) haha. Oh and btw, for you FTMs, modesty LITERALLY goes out the window during labor. The last thing on your mind will be "how long has it been since I shaved?" haha I can almost promise that =)

  • I can't see mine, makes shaving a task. DH has yet to offer to help, doubt he will, but thats okay, I don't think I'd let him anyways, it would make me too nervous.

  • I have not been able to see mine for a few weeks now. When I was pregnant with DS I did my best to keep it up and then that last month or 2 i was not able to worry about any of that. I have 2 aunts that are L&D nurses and they both say that they would rather you come in with it all natural than try to get it all cleaned up and miss spots. So as of right now I have been letting it go.

  • I'm still bending & turning and have thought about waxing further on but will probably try to keep up with a careful DIY method.  DH hasn't offered but I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen even if he did.

I'm pretty much thanking baby every day when I get my socks on so it'll be interesting when that stops!

  • Haha! That happened to me recently too - I went to check the status of my grooming and realized I couldn't see! I told my fiance I may need some help in that dept! Lol

I completely agree with this.  Similar to the worries about pooping while pushing, nurses and OBs have seen it all and could really care less about what your stuff looks like.  AND it's swollen beyond recognition anyway.

I've never gotten a wax--isn't it pretty expensive?  I don't spend more for other people to groom me than a $30 haircut every 8 months, but I think that might be abnormal.

  • I cant see mine either!!! I am using the bend, twist and try to suck it in method. I have been able to keep it up as much as possible, I cant stand to let it go. I will be using a mirror or doing it blindly or turn to waxing. I usually wax myself but not attempting that without being able to see...yikes!

DH doesnt see my whaooo as often as he used to, so when he does he is not concerned with the looks. I would like it to look okay during my whaoo's grand appearance with everyone looking and checking her :) prolly will be the least of my concerns however.
