Bryson or Brycen?

My DH and I actually decided on a name, now its just the spelling that we can't figure out. Spelling it Brycen makes sense if people would call him Bryce for short, but Bryson seems more common. Any opinions?

I'm not a fan at all of Brycen/son but I like simply Bryce the best. If that's not an option then I guess Brycen.

I don't think that Brycen is a legitimate spelling, but I could be wrong.

I say go with Bryson. You can still call him Bryce for short.

And I know you didn't ask, but I like Bryce a lot.

It might just be me, but when I see Brycen I focus on the CEN part so it looks like it's pronounced Bry-Ken.

The question should be how do you want to pronounce it....brySON or brySIN? Not how to spell it, you can't switch spellings and not think it isn't going to change how you say it.

Wow, I didn't expect so much negative feedback on the name itself. I guess I asked for opinions though.

I think I'm going with Bryson, if people want to call him Bryce for short that is fine with me since I like both names. I was named Jennifer when I was born, but people call me Jenny, just the way it goes.

I'd pronounce those two names differently, as would a lot of people I think. Neither name is my style, but Brycen looks really weird/made-up to me.

This exactly. Bryce still works as a NN if you spell it Bryson.

obviously they do, or you wouldn't be b!tching about people being rude for having an opinion.

what people have said here is incredibly tame. i was expecting way worse.
