hair cut in roseville?

has anyone had any experiences with the 'kid' places around the area? DS needs to get his 1st hair cut and even thought I don't want it to happen it really is time. Any suggestions would help thanks!!

Re: hair cut in roseville?

  • I have taken Emme to Jack & Jillybeans in Roseville. The owner has done her hair twice and it has been great. One time another girl did it and the bangs weren't cut as short as I would have liked so we were back there 4 weeks later instead of the 6-8 that I prefer. I love that I can get my hair cut there too while Emme has hers done and neither of us need an appt. I usually go on a Thursday night so there isn't any wait.

  • I like Tangles in Roseville.  They are always busy and you usually need an appt but I"ve been happy with them. They also have first haircut deal but I don't know all the details.  I also love the price. $12 for a basic haircut.  I also didn't have to tell them each time not to cut the back of my son's hair so high or to not give him huge white walls around his ears.

I like Jack n Jilly beans - especially now that Sydney is gone for good.  She was horrible.  I think that the woman that I liked best is now over at Lollipops.

Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

I wish I could convince my Ry to switch to Tangles. They are so close and cheaper than Lollipops. Do they have a play area? I know their chairs are real salon chair but maybe I can work the big boy thing. I'm so tired of driving to GB.

They have a COOL racecar, a huge chalkboard wall, and a bin of toys (most are sort of broken).  They also have wii games that the kids can play.  Ryan doesn't have much experience playing them but he likes to hold the controller and figure out what's what.

  • Oh and $12 is with the tip!!!  It's a $10 haircut.

  • Yes - they can sit in it --- it's just not to get their hair cut in.  It's like a sprint car or something from the raceway.  We'll be there tomorrow afternoon. :)

  • well we still have a little extra on top :)  Jack n Jilly beans was closed due to an emergency, one was closed on Sunday, and the only times Tangles had was when DS was/would be napping. The hair cut to be put off for another day! I was all prepared but i get to keep his curls for a couple more days!!

  • Has anyone been to CJ's Cuts for Kids? Is is super close to our house and I am slowly starting to think about H's first cut. It is in the strip mall that Silver Spoon was in.

  • I will add (late I know) that Emme's first and second hair cuts were at Lollipops in Granite Bay. I loved them but they are just too far for me. A coworker takes her son to Tangles and she loves that place too. Jack & Jillybeans is just so easy for me to get in and out of, I can do it on a Thursday with no problem.
