    I'm 16 weeks with my first! I'm due April 1st. I think I'll register before Xmas so people can hit the after-Xmas sales. I don't have any babies in my family, so I have no idea what to register for. So, we'll be taking my husband's cousin with us for help registering for the essentials!

    I would like to do it sooner than later...but DH isn't into it yet. I think we will do it after we know the sex. I think it is still a lot for hubby to deal with just yet. So much going on at work. So im not rushing it. I want him to enjoy it.

    We started registering around 15 weeks as we researched items. At 20 weeks we added a few gender specific items. Our showers are at 28 & 29 weeks.

    I've already started browsing and researching online.  When I go on BRU if I find something I like I've been putting it in a wish list. My Birthday is coming up and with the Holiday's too I think I'm going to make the wish  list my registry in two weeks when we find out. It is really overwhelming so do it little by little. Good luck!

    I registered at about 20 weeks, and was tweaking it up until about 30 weeks.

    we started registering online at bru about 3 wks ago just so we could see what we needed in one spot. we went to the store yest to look at thjings we couldnt find online and added quite a few things. we added several car seats so we could do the research ffiom home and then delete them online once we decided. 

    that said, my friend want to throw us a shower so wed better hurrty up and finalize things.

    OMG I said yes to every part of this including having my DH's cousin come with me to register.  She has an 8 month old & spent a lot of time (that don't have) researching baby products/companies, etc.

    We wandered around BRU at about 12 weeks just to look around.  I think we went and started registering around 16 weeks.  It's been an on going process as DH can only take so much at a time (and me too) before we get overwhelmed.  We've been to BRU and Target both several times.  Also added stuff online to both.  I've done what a PP said and registered for several brands/kinds of the same item instore and come home to read the reviews to determine which one stays.  Good luck!

    We registered last weekend - at 19 weeks.
    TTC since November 2010
    BFP: March 22, 2011 M/C: April 8, 2011 @ 7 weeks
    BFP: June 29, 2011!!! Crossing my fingers for a sticky baby :)

    I started reading reviews and comparing things around 20 weeks, then actually went into the store around 22 or 23. I actually asked several people with kids what they couldn't live without and what they wish they hadn't bought, then made a list accordingly. I hope it worked, I haven't thought of anything I missed yet!

    We just registered... Our family asked us to because they are all out of town.  I think they want to get us some of our big stuff for Christmas... So we went ahead and registered for the gender neutral stuff... we will add more stuff once we find out gender..

    I finished registering about 3wks ago b/c my baby shower is being thrown in early Nov and it needed to be done before the invites went out.

    I started ours once we past the first tri, probably around 14 weeks. After finding out sex at 18 weeks, we did much more. I continue to change things here or there. I'll be 28 weeks at my shower (because of holidays, having it early), so I wanted to get it done in plenty of time.

    We started our registry at about 14 weeks, then went back to finish with the gender specific things after 19 weeks. I still am tweaking it and probably will continue to until our shower!
    Anxiously awaiting baby # 3! Due May 14, 2017!
