no poo essential oil

So I don't mind the baking soda smell really...it's just kind of "salty". Has anyone had luck adding an essential oil smell? Does it work better to add it to the ACV...or does that just wipe the odor out? 

I tried a few drops of peppermint a while back...and hooo-eee! that was one scalp tingling experience. Way too intense for my liking, though the smell was nice. 

I was thinking I'd try to see if I could try rose, ylang-ylang, or jasmine? I use citrus more for cleaning and not a huge fan of lavender (except in soap).

    I think it just depends on if you want the EO smell to last after your shower or not. If you put the EO in the baking soda then I think the vinegar will pretty much remove the smell so once your hair is dry then there's nothing. However, if you add it to the vinegar, you will cover up some of the vinegar smell both in the shower and out.
