remember me? I used to post here a lot.
To make up for lost time-
1. I'm pissed at H. He got home at midnight, then this morning he "worked" til noon and is now off at class. Why does this upset me? Because the "work" he was doing should have only taken 10 minutes. His numbers weren't matching up for work stuff, and he wouldn't let me help him figure it out. 4 hours later, took me 10 minutes to figure out. So here's to another day of me getting nothing done because I have no help with the kids, and another day the kids don't get to spend time with their daddy.
2. MILs bday is tomorrow and she wants us to go to this big church hoopla with them, then out to dinner. Church starts at 6pm about 45 minutes from our house. Simon goes to bed at 7, Joshua at 8. And it's a school night. I'm betting we get home around 11, and I'm also betting I am the one stuck with Simon while he's throwing a holy *** fit when he's tired. oh, AND I'll be the one fighting to get Joshua to school since H will be OOT working again. Yippee!
3. Simon woke up at 5 and has yet to sleep today. I need to go to the post office and the bank and get groceries. I haven't even showered yet and it's almost 4. Fan-friggin-tastic.
All I know is I'm buying a bottle of wine tonight at the store and I'm sleeping in and not touching the kids all day tomorrow.

Oh hell no. H would be hanging out with MIL allll by himself. There's no way I'd take two kids out 4 hours past their bedtime. I understand bending the rules for special occassions, but that's pretty sh!tty of your MIL to even ask y'all to stay out that late.

I agree with SH - MIL can visit with the kids for her birthday during kid hours. And that's that.
As for DH - he should totally get kid duty tomorrow...and I'm sure he won't mind it so snooze away!!!
And about no sleep with Simon - this too shall pass. Hang in there, take your shower at 8:30 when they are both sound asleep - the errands can wait til Sunday or Monday. Unless your DH is home tonight you can do a quick grocery store run tonight if you have to (I think that was on your agenda, but not sure).

Swing by and pick me up on your way to SH's place. I can't drink the wine with you but I'll open a beer and we can take turns feeling her belly and trying to guess the sex and what we (yes, we) should name it.
Besides that, you totally deserve to sleep in tomorrow. He gets consistent sleep in a peaceful hotel room all the time. It's your turn to get some sleep.
