Staples not taken out at hospital?

I was told at my doctor apt today that after I come home from the hospital..2 or 3 days..then I need to go to the office to have the staples removed. I just assumed they would do that on the last day of my hospital stay.  I am having a c section on Monday...so Im assuming I would get them taken out on Friday?

Has this happened to anyone else?

    My c-section was on Friday, and I left the hospital on Sunday.  We had an appointment at the hospital on the Wednesday and they took out my staples and DS saw the paediatrician for a check up at the same time.

    My staples were taken out before I left the hospital.  My c/s was on a thursday and my staples were taken out on Saturday.

    my csection was on a thursday. i went home on monday and had them removed on friday.

    I had a c-section on a Sunday morning & went home on a Wednesday afternoon. The doc who delivered me told me to come in one week after (the following monday) to get the staples removed, however the doc who was on call when i was getting discharged wanted to take them out before i left the hospital. The nurse only got 3 staples out before realizing that it was way too soon & the incision wasn't all the way closed. So she stopped and i went into the office that monday (like my doctor wanted) to get them out. there was a big difference in the pain level too! It was killing me when the nurse was trying before i left the hospital, but i barely felt anything when I went in later.

    guess it depends on the doctor?

    Mine were taken out at in the OB office about 7 or 8 days after. DS was in the NICU 2 hours away so I think it was more of a precaution since I was wandering around a big hospital. I'm pretty sure they don't usually stay in that long.

    With both of my c/s staples were removed 3-5 days after I checked out of the hospital. Its normal. I didn't have any issues and it doesn't hurt at all.

    I also waited about 5-7 days and got them removed at my ob/gyn's office.

    I had the c-section Tuesday night. I was released Saturday. Staples were taken out on Monday at my OB's office. We originally not going to have them out until Wednesday(an original OB appointment if I was still pregnant), but DS was getting his circ anyway. Two for one deal, I guess.  It was uncomfortable, but not painful.
