Awesome Tutorial/Pattern for car seat cover/throw-over....

So...  It will be February.  Probably January.  And i live in CO.  It WILL be bitter cold, if it is not Actually snowing.  And the way babies like to pop out in big storms....  Ya.  Around here, we all throw a blanket over baby or use those car seat covers with the elastic on.  But I have ALWAYS hated those, bc I feel like the fabric is too close to their little face.  It's dangerous, you ask me.  So, I am blanket thrower, which makes holding the handle difficult.  Just found this.  And.  It.  Is.  AMAZING, and easy.  I am not a sewer, but even I could whip this out.  Or talk my sister into it;0)  Talk about solving a problem!!

    My mom is making me a couple of these since we are in a cold area too. She is also making  blanket type thing that lays in the carseat and then you wrap the ends around baby to keep them warm. Kind of like a JJcole bundle me but ten times better! Im so excited to go pick out fabric!

    Aw LOVE - thanks for posting! I'll be bookmarking that page! If I have time after sewing curtains, a crib skirt and then a duvet cover for DD I'll get right on it!!! haha - if only there were more time in the day.

    My sister lives in Denver and is KU w/ her first baby due in March... I've been warning her about needing a garage during cold weather w/ baby!! They're looking for houses but may have to move into an apt.

    Anyway! Thanks!

    What kind of crib skirt are you making? I have been looking EVERYWHERE for a tutorial for a box pleat crib skirt.

    Thank you for posting that. I will have to try to see if I can make one. I live in Iowa and was looking at the car seat covers and also didn't like them because they are so close to the face, and I have read some articles that suggest not using them.

    Where in Iowa do you live?  I live in Nebraska 50 miles west of Sioux City and we are doctoring at St. Luke's.

    Your welcome, ladies!  I can't wait to make it/talk my sis into making it!  LOL;0)  CO is MUUUUUCH better with a garage!  LOL  But even then, the walk into the store is freezing sometimes.  Your sis MIGHT be OK in March, but you just Never know around here....  And MJ, I pinned it before sharing here.  LOL!
