11 Weeks Postpartum And Bleeding Bright Red?

Anyone else? It'll stop for a couple days and then start again. TMI: It's not excessive but it's bright red with no clotting or anything. I exclusively bf. Maybe it's my period, But how did you know when your post partum bleeding stopped and your period began? TIA! :)

    Did your original bleeding ever stop?  If so, it's probably your period.  If not, and you've been having bright red bleeding all this time, you need to call your doctor to rule out issues like an infection or retained placenta.

    I bled for 12 weeks :(  It was on and off and sometimes bright red, sometimes brown.  I noticed that it would be more red after activity/working out.  My OB was not too concerned over the prolonged bleeding.  I BF and have not had any bleeding since so I think that was all PP bleeding for me.  It seemed to look and smell different than a normal period.  HTH

    This.  Are you FF or BF?  We FF and I got my 1st pp period at 7 weeks both times.

    I bled bright heavy blood for 3 weeks. then it stopped and I started bleeding all over again at 4 weeks. My OB checked everything out and determined it was probably my period and started my BC. I would get checked out or at least call and make sure.
