I'm looking at quilting patterns, I'm waiting for the A/S to confirm before I start. Here's 1 pattern that I found that I like but I'm not sure if it's too feminine for a boy, please let me know what you think. Anyone else sewing for their LO?
Cute! I don't think it's too feminine. You could even replace the hearts with triangles or something different if you think it is feminine. I'll be making mine a quilt too after the a/s. I'm looking forward to it! I'm sure I'll also make a bunch of bibs and burp cloths.
I don't think it is too feminine, esp since you control the color palate. I'm not quilting for the baby, but I do have a bunch of Suess fabric to make a blanket for my son, just need to find the time and energy and motivation to do it. It will be for his big boy bed though, and I want to make 2 of them since we have two twin beds in the room that will be his, so I have some time still. I sewed a bunch of newborn stuff for my son, in addition to all his cloth diapers. I also knit, and will be knitting up a storm once I find out gender (esp if it is a girl).
Do-Jo, that's a great pattern, you can do so much with a simple pattern with just the right fabrics. Here is the last quilt I did, it was quite ambitious, the front was over 600 swatches of fabrics. I'd have to say I'm in love with Country French colors.
Hey, I don't really ever post but I'm IN LOVE with this quilt. Can you give me a link to where you found it so that I may find the pattern? Thank you!!! and wonderful find!

I'm making a quilt for LO as well.
Very cute, I think that would be totally fine for a boy!! Happy quilting!

I totally read this is "quitters" and I was confused. LOL
I want to begin learning to quilt! I just got my first sewing machine for my birthday in April and I love it
