I am getting ready to start my second round of clomid and my period is totally weird this time. I have clots sometimes, but not terrible. This time it's so thick it's like it's a lot of clots, but no real flow. Is that normal after taking clomid? Do I consider this the first day of my menstrual cycle because there's some bloody discharge or do I wait until there's a "normal flow" to begin counting?
Re: Clomid...is this normal?
I don't know what to tell you....when you say "bloody discharge" but talk about lots and lots of clots; are you talking more like it has the consistency of EWCM but the color of blood with clots in it? But no flowing only when you wipe? Or are you saying you have to use a tampon or pad but it just seems more thick & clotting to you?
If it's just when you wipe then I'd say mark it as spotting and not CD1. If it's any more than just when you wipe, then I'd say as long as it's red (not brown or light pink) mark it as CD1.
As for has this happened to me? No, while my periods after a clomid cycle seemed to be a little heavier and slightly more cramping, I didn't notice them being it being more "thick" or more "clots". Usual thickness (just move volume total), usual clots.
