Was it obvious when it happened? I think mine might have but I have no clue. My first pregnancy mine was broken in the hospital.
On another note...I apologize I have not been around at all lately. We moved last weekend and things have been super hectic getting everything packed....unpacked...and put together.
Re: For those whos water broke at home...
Diagnosed PCOS & MFI-Success with IUI
Our Thanksgiving Day baby 11/22/07
Pregnant with #2 with LPD, uterine polyp/hysteroscopy, DOR (AMH = 0.17), 2 c/ps
Our early Christmas present 12/9/10
I had a wet spot in my underwear before I got into the shower. Got out put my jammies on and just checked to find another spot. Definitely not a gush.
Our beautiful son was born July 2008.
2010: 2 IVF's,1 FET = 2 BFN's, 1 c/p
Feb 2011-Unmedicated FET= BFP!! DS #2 born Oct 2011!!.
Ditto this! I was 5 days overdue and had been feeling contractions all morning, but nothing regular yet. But there was no mistaking the pop I heard/felt!
It was completely obvious, a big gush, and then as I walked around I kept "peeing" myself.
Good luck!!!!
When my waterbroke with the twins it wasn't a big gush. It was actually more like several little leaks. If you think it might have broke, call your doctor. Of course my arse of a doctor told me that i pissed myself but I just didn't believe that. Sure enough my waterbroke.
With Brady my waterbroke at the hospital while I was getting prepped for my c/s. It again was not a big gush!
4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!
sFET 11/9/11 - Beta 11/18 BFP!
I didn't know 100% that it was my water breaking... although I think it was partly that I was in denial since I still had 11 days to go and I had no signs whatsoever that I was going to go into labor.
I felt a small pop and had a trickle of water, but that was it. I thought maybe I peed myself so I sat on the toilet and another trickle came out. I couldn't stop it, so I started to believe the small voice (and my husband
) telling me that my water had broken. I sat on a towel and a few more trickles came out, so we got ready to go to the hospital. About 20-30 minutes after my water broke, I started having mild contractions that were pretty regular.
Good luck!!
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
Life is beautiful!
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
Mine was VERY obvious...we're talking GALLONS and gallons of warm fluid!
But I know that doesn't happen to everyone. I hope this is it for you!

I don't think my sequence of events was typical, though. I hadn't had any contractions, so they had to start pitocin, and I dont think ever lost my mucus plug.
Ooooh!!! Mine did - I had bloody show but then it felt like a small gush once in a while. Kind of like (gross) the feeling you may have experienced during AF when she is heaviest.
If you think you did, you probably did. Are you GBS +? I ended up going in just to be sure I could get IV antibiotics in time and they confirmed that my water was leaking . Wasn't a big gush, but the bag had ruptured.
GOOD LUCK!
