No - no problems- just a regular 3 yr urinalysis. I have no complaints on the doctor end...DD was just happily playing but just wouldn't pee.
just realized this sounds like an annoying FB update! oh well
Wait they do a urinalysis at 3 yrs checkups routinely these days?
I was surprised. She also had a routine complete blood count. They meant business.
I will brag that between Hep A, Hep B, flu mist, blood draw from her arm, and peeing in a bag that was taped to her...and 2 1/2 freaking hours, DD was a trooper!!

Wow things sure have changed since DD#1 was 3 yrs old! Glad your DD did well, that is a lot of stuff.

It must have changed very recently, because Parker just turned 4 and we did not do a urine test last year for her.

Anyway- Glad DD is a-ok Sue.
Well I don't think it is necessarily universal. In fact, I bet a urinalysis and CBC at 3 isn't standard.
I actually think the CBC is normal...but Parker's been getting b/w done forever. We also have a ton of lead paint here- not sure if that's common all around the country- so they start testing at 1 for that.
Anyway. We're talking just to talk aren't we? Meaning...this response probably doesn't hold any water.

yep - I have no idea, just making stuff up
I think the lead testing is standard now.
Speaking of lead, I have asked this question before but never gotten an answer. What do they do if lead is high besides attempt to find and omit the source? Do they chelate? And if so, does anyone know how?

Holy cow! I think ds would have been hanging by his toenails on the ceiling at that point. That or I would have pulled at my own hair out.

Re: Just spent 2 1/2 hrs at the pediatrician
Wow how ridiculously long.
Do they suspect a UTI? Hope she's okay
LOL I'm sorry I had to laugh.
Is everything all good? I hope you had your phone or magazine or book with you.
