Cramps?

For the past few nights/early mornings I've experienced a moderate menstrual-like cramp for about 60-90 seconds. It's not accompanied with any kind of uterine contraction. It only happens once or twice a night and I'm not too concerned about it, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I've been having period like cramps on and off all week. Pretty sure it's normal and we are just gearing up for the big event!

My SO joked yesterday that I sound more and more like an old man with all my moans & groans these days. Seems like a get a little more achey & crampy every week.. Oh the joys of pregnancy!

Yup I have been getting them too..and they have been painful! I have been keeping track of the time and I called my doctor just to be safe. I am a FTM so I have no idea what I am supposed to be feeling down there.

I get confused with the term "cramps" because I never really got them with my period. I've always thought of cramps as more of a stabby pain.... But, I've been getting what I used to get when I did get my period - which is the feeling like you've got to have "loose stool" or that you suddenly have to go #2. (Sorry to be gross.) But, then I really don't have to go....

So, I'm not sure if this is the "cramp" sensation that everyone gets... but I've been getting it on and off all week.

Yes! Mine are always early in the morning as well. I talked to my dr. about it, and he said it was normal. I'm just supposed to be aware if they get worse, or if they become consistent and time-able.

It sounds like our bodies are gearing up for game day. Thanks for all of the posts - it's nice to know I'm not the only one getting them. It just felt strange because the last time I had any cramping was back in February. I'd almost forgotten what they feel like!

Yup me too!! Talked to the Dr today about them and he said that it is Braxton Hicks. For some reason I thought BH would feel different, but this is what he said. Means the body is preparing itself for labor!

The menstral-like cramps I get are different from regular braxton hicks contractions. The kind of radiate lower in the abdomen and like someone else said, feel like
I have to go to the bathroom and they make me warm, like a hot flash. The braxton hicks are coming on stronger now too though and the aren't just in my lower ab area they make almost my whole stomach tighten up now. Still no pattern to them...very soon ladies!!! Very soon!

Yeah, I've been getting the menstrual-cramping type (very low down) plus some good ole B-H. It's crazy!
